Joe Rogan, in a recent episode on his podcast with comedian Tom Segura, called Canada a “communist” country, causing an uproar on social media.
“They gotta get rid of that guy,” said Rogan, referring to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, adding, “I don’t know how their system works up there, I have zero understanding of their system.”
Rogan said he liked Trudeau before the pandemic and thought he was a “good looking guy, confident, good talker.”
Rogan claims his opinion changed after he witnessed the Liberal’s leader response to COVID-19 and the pandemic.
“I’m like ‘Oh you’re a f — ing dictator’,” said Rogan. “You don’t like criticism. You’re trying to shut down criticism by saying that all your critics are misogynist and racists,” he added.
“Why do you want everybody to get injected every four months? They don’t need that anymore. What are we doing?” said Rogan. He then proceeds to rail against Canadian federal requirements surrounding unvaccinated travellers entering the country.
“It’s old. It’s 2022, not 2019,” he said, with Segura chiming in that “things sway there so aggressively when something happens.”
People, especially Canadians, quickly took to Twitter to share their thoughts.
